Road Trip!!

Imagine you and 2 friends are taking a road trip across Nebraska. Pack all the essentials (pop, candy, cell phone, and your $600 to pay for a hotel every night), fill the parent's car up with gas and get ready to have the time of your life! Start at your school and map out the route that will give you best gas mileage to visit the 6 towns of your choice and to find out the most interesting information about your home state of Nebraska. You will spend a night in each of the chosen towns and everyone will share a room. The Great Plains have never been this fun!

The Task

You will learn:

the populations of the cities visited,
at least one historical fact from each city,
how to keep a journal of your experiences,
how to visit your cities in the shortest amount of driving time,
how to find the temperatures of the cities you visit and what to wear while you visit,
how to find a hotel in each city that is within your budget ($600).

on the first page of your journal write the cities in the order that you will visit them, the estimated driving time and the total distance
in your journal make a page for each city  the order that you visited it.
each journal page must include the current weather conditions, a hotel choice, cost, and location, a restaurant to eat at, one place to visit from the destination guide, and at least one historical fact
after everything is included on your Road Trip, choose "print your trip plan" and print each page from the "Your Route" part of the web page. You do NOT need to include the links from the Hotels, Destination Guide, and Know before you go sections of the page

Learning Advice

The best web sites to visit are the sites sponsored by each city/town.
When looking for a hotel, restaurant, and a place to visit from the destination guide in each city/town, click the "add hotel/restaurant/place visited to stop on your route" button.

Conclusion

When your Road Trip is completed and you have finished laundry, you will reflect on all of the interesting things to do and learn in your home state of Nebraska and realize that you REALLY do live in an AWESOME state! Now all you have to do is turn in your printed Road Trip and your journal !
